Gus Hansen experienced an amazing year on the WPT where he was the only one to achieve closing poker table in three of the tournaments. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You may recall one of the biggest pots in high stakes poker history up against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen secured a huge pot with 4 of a kind against Daniel’s full house. Hansen has made many tv poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the best enthusiasts anywhere in the world. While wagering on web poker, another side of Hansen has been seen. Gus regularly plays in the 200/400 No Limit max buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Hansen usually buys-in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very poorly. He waits for a good hand and then pushes all in. I accept that Gus is an amazing poker player but not even close to the regular players at 200/400NL. Unless Gus is broke, he has absolutely no reason to settle at the game with the min buy in.
Playing for the min takes a majority of the expertise out of deep stack poker. Hansen is supposed to be one of the best players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy-in for the total amt..
