Newcomer Tactics for Double-Hand Poker
Posted in Poker on 01/15/2024 04:25 pm by ShelbyPai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the wild west in a wonderful game for starting gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler against the dealer, unlike nearly all other poker games that players wager against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, new players don’t need to worry about other, more knowledgeable players winning their $$$$.
One more Pai Gow benefit is the generally slow game pace, rookies will be able to take their time and strategize without having to make hasty decisions.
It is also simpler to gamble on for a long time with just a little bit of money after all, to not win, both of your hands needs to be under both of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is given seven cards face up and the croupier is given seven cards faces hidden.
A five card hand and a 2 card hand must be made from the seven cards, the five card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
